Golf Theme Party
The Golf Theme Party is not as new as you might believe. Golf has been around for hundreds of years and is enjoyed by millions.Wether you want to enjoy a light snack with some friends after a round, or you want to throw a Golf Theme Party for someones Birthday, then this is the place to start. A refreshing beverage for a group after 18 holes is the Mojito! This little concoction will refresh like no other! The presentation is professional and your friends will think you spent more time on these than you did. To make individual drinks this is what you will need:
MOJITO
1 ounce light rum
2-3 sprigs of mint
2 tsp sugar
1/4 - 1/2 lime (depending on taste)
Soda Water
In a tall glass add the sugar, mint, and a dash of the soda water, crush mint into the sugar until sugar has dissolved, and you get a minty smell.Squeeze the lime into the glass and discard rind, add rum, and ice. Shake well. Serve over cracked ice in a highball glass and garnish with a sprig of mint.
If you are thinking you need more than just a cocktail, add some golf themed napkins, golf ball shaped ice, you can even use a properly disinfected golf tee to "mark" each persons drink, just drop it in the glass.
If you want to go all out and include costumes look towards Scotland for a traditional look. Think long socks, baggy long shorts and a billowy white shirt.
More ideas for appetizzers are, use gerkins and pickled small onions as clubs and balls. You could even use a melon baller to scoop out cheese, fruit, butter, or anything else that appeals to you, you will have a perfectly round golf ball. If you look around online you should be able to find ice cube trays, plates, cutlery, serviettes etc, to really set the mood.
