Toga Party

The call from those in the know say that the classic Toga Party is making a come back.

Remember those movies from the eighties, it seemed like there was a party on every campus in North America, every weekend. Well, the times have changed, but not the Toga Party. It remains, classic, easy, popular, and can be either extravagant or low key. It is simply one of the easiest parties to pull off.

The basic requirement of any party is simply a bed sheet, a white sheet is classic, but any colour will work. This sheeet can be wrapped in a number of ways, and of course, undergarments are optional! the most traditional way to wear a toga is in the style of Ancient Romans, simply wrap the toga around your body and tie a knot on the shoulder. You can also do two knots, one on each shoulder, wrap it around your midsection and tuck it in.To dress a toga up, you can use a crown of leaves, or thorns, depending on your mood. Another way to dress up a toga is with gold jewelery, use a large chain as a belt the bigger the better! For the ladies, large dangly gold earrings and babys breath in your hair will make you one of the most beautiful girls at the party.

An traditional party is simple, yet extravagant. Martinis are a hit, as is fresh fruit and cheeses. For decorating you can use the column type plant holders available at most craft stores, you can go with the classic white or dress them up with a hint of gold. Fresh flowers dispersed throughout the party area, mixed with large leafy plants, and candles flickering in the background add an extra touch of class.
